FGG plays Trouwfest #3!

So…
We will come out of our cave again after some years, to do a special event: the third edition of Trouwfest. This event takes place on June 15, at JH Wommel, Fort II, Wommelgem, Belgium.
“Trouwfest” is an annual free public event, organised by happy couple Dimi Brands and Sigrid Vereecken, in the first place to celebrate their wedding anniversary, but especially to give a stage to genres/acts who doesn’t play often in Belgium.
Well, that sounds like FGG material to me!
Be welcome, we will be opener for the event, so don’t miss out.
A dark and brooding mix of old and new songs will be played (although you all know FGG ain’t THAT dark after all, and the message of hope will always be there).
Also, we are preparing some surprises. We hope it all works out and you are all there to share the moment with us AND the happy couple that organises Trouwfest in the first place.

See you all!

Summer Darkness 2011, thanks for having us.

For Greater Good would like to thank some people.

First of all the organisers of the excellent Summer Darkness 2011 Festival in the city of Utrecht for having us. On Classic Sunday 31st of July 2011 we opened the festival that also featured headliners as The Neon Judgement, Nitzer Ebb and Killing Joke. We had a great time playing in this nice hall (Spiegelbar, Tivoli), good sound, excellent projections and nice lighting-setup with a friendly and very helpful crew.

Secondly of course the audience which were there in good numbers at this early hour.  Also to guest-musician Peter Geysels on bass-clarinet, flute and clarinets, for bringing his talent and creativity to the table. And soundengineer Mark Burghgraeve for a great mix and doubling as light technician, you rock!

Last but not least thanks and kisses to An and Krisje for being the best merchandise crew anyone could hope for.

Comments afterwards were even a bit overwhelming. The good kind of overwhelming, the kind that gives the postive energy and vibe to quickly get back into the studio making more music.

Setlist was: Ossetian Ossuary – Le Jugement Du Roi En Jaune – Orbit – Love Your Terrorist – Distress – Insane Asylum – DTFN –  Ihtyll

We hope to see you there!

Thank you all for visiting Dylebient 2011!

Dylebient 2011, this first time festival was organised by Gert de Meester, and was a small but very nice and cosy festival!

The other bands were very good, thoroughly enjoyed Gerts first performance with Distant Fires Burning, Mashta Uirtu was cool as well, and also Premonition Factory was super! Amorph set us off into the night with some chilled IDM/glitch/electro.

We had a great time being there and playing. Again Mark B. did a great job as our sound engineer, thanks! Also big thumbs up for Peter G and Peter DK, joining us on stage again, this setup works out very well. :-)

Also a big thanks to all people that came to this event, not always easy for a first-time event to reach out to people, but a lot of old friends AND a lot of new ones found their way to Mechelen.

A load of pictures were taken and we will post the best ones on our Flickr page asap. There is also some video material out there so stay tuned for that as well!

Setlist was: Ossetian Ossuary – Le Jugement Du Roi En Jaune – Orbit – Love Your Terrorist – Insane Asylum – Rush Hour – DTFN – Distress – Ihtyll
