Summer Darkness 2011, thanks for having us.

For Greater Good would like to thank some people.

First of all the organisers of the excellent Summer Darkness 2011 Festival in the city of Utrecht for having us. On Classic Sunday 31st of July 2011 we opened the festival that also featured headliners as The Neon Judgement, Nitzer Ebb and Killing Joke. We had a great time playing in this nice hall (Spiegelbar, Tivoli), good sound, excellent projections and nice lighting-setup with a friendly and very helpful crew.

Secondly of course the audience which were there in good numbers at this early hour.  Also to guest-musician Peter Geysels on bass-clarinet, flute and clarinets, for bringing his talent and creativity to the table. And soundengineer Mark Burghgraeve for a great mix and doubling as light technician, you rock!

Last but not least thanks and kisses to An and Krisje for being the best merchandise crew anyone could hope for.

Comments afterwards were even a bit overwhelming. The good kind of overwhelming, the kind that gives the postive energy and vibe to quickly get back into the studio making more music.

Setlist was: Ossetian Ossuary – Le Jugement Du Roi En Jaune – Orbit – Love Your Terrorist – Distress – Insane Asylum – DTFN –  Ihtyll

The HOT 2011 Aftermath

Well, this was interesting! This has been the earliest FGG gig ever, at 1400 hours in bright daylight. Not our natural biotope at all. Yet, it was a very good one, we received some very nice comments afterwards, and the atmosphere was top!

A big thank you to the Homerecording crew, for this unique opportunity. The event was a real winner! Also thanks to all people attending the performance, and lots of familiar faces for supporting us!

Loads of thanks to our new guests on stage: Peter DK on found-percussion and Peter G playing bass clarinet, clarinet and Breton shepherds’ flute. And of course thanks to Raya, singer with Antwerp Faerie-electro band Dark Poem, lending her lovely voice to some of our songs.

This was the first time we had our new sound technician behind the desk, welcome Mark Burghgraeve! He had the difficult task to lead all this mayhem into battle and he did an awesome job! We’d like to thank our former soundman Wim for all his help at past concerts, and let it be known that we’ll meet each other again soon and often, thanks Wim!
